Taylor Made Treats was born out of a simple idea and a lot of determination. Back in 2014, while looking for a summer job during college, Taylor saw an ice cream truck drive by and jokingly said, “I’m going to start an ice cream truck.” Her friend laughed and replied, “You can’t do that.”
That same day, Taylor started hunting for trucks and found one for just $700. It was far from perfect but had potential. She drove it home—teaching herself how to drive stick shift along the way 🤫—and got to work. She sanded the entire truck by hand and painted it herself using house paint and a roller 😂.
It wasn’t easy. The truck broke down constantly, the brakes gave out more than once, and there were plenty of setbacks. But Taylor stayed the course because she believed in what she was building.
Today, Taylor Made Treats has grown to include two trucks and two ice cream carts, with plans to expand to 10 trucks by spring of 2026. What started as a scrappy summer project has turned into a business we’re proud to share with our community, bringing handcrafted treats and smiles wherever we go.
Taylor’s journey has taught us that no dream is too big—and no obstacle is too small to overcome when you’re determined to succeed.
